Alexander Mowbray served in the Danish-Norwegian army. He was a captain in James Sinclair's [SSNE 538] regiment, from which he received his reckoning by 4 October 1628. Unlike many other Scottish officer he appears to have continued to serve King Christian IV, and he transferred to the armed forces in Scania with the rank of captain on 21 March 1630T.
