On 8 April 1651 King Frederik III of Denmark-Norway instructed Frederik Urne to pay the burgesses of Trondheim for the loans of silver they made to the Crown during wartime. Amongst the burgesses noted was Alexander Samson who had lent the Crown 200 "lod" of silverNorske Rigsregistranter, ed. Y. Nielsen and E. A. Thomle, vol 10 (Christiania, 1887) p. 194.
