Lieutenant James Kinnaird was a Scottish officer serving in Captain James Bannatyne's [SSNE 1922] company in Swedish service from 1627-9. He and John Sommerville were sent to Scotland to obtain recruits for Bannatyne's company of James Ramsay's [SSNE 3315]regiment.
