Anders Fraser was born in 1616 in Kexholm, the son of Thomas Fraser [SSNE 1624] who was in James Spens' regiment. Anders served in the Swedish army and distinguished himself at the battle of Riga in 1656. He was ennobled in 1663 and introduced into the Riddarhus in 1664 under nr.725. Fraser had previously served at Riga in 1656 and 1658 and acted as commandant of the fortress of Nyen where he still resided in 1664. He died in 1686.
