Thomas Fraser came to Sweden with James Spens [SSNE 1642] on his embassy to Sweden in the early 1600s as Spens' page or 'guarde general', and then became an ensign in Spens's regiment. Thomas' son Anders [SSNE 4355] was also in Swedish service and was ennobled. This is possibly the same Thomas Fraser, son of the house of Belladrum and a commissioned officer, who in 1633 was sent to recruit in Scotland.
