Alexander Arbuthnot was enrolled at Rostock University in 1589 where he was listed as 'Scotus'. Patrick Gordon [SSNE 4317] enrolled at the same time. An Alexander Arbuthnot also enrolled at Helmstadt university in 1591. He is probably the same as the Alexander Arbuthnot who enrolled at Heidelberg University in 1594T.
