Captain Robert Rutherford served in the Swedish army in 1612. He was Captain and Chief for a company from the Västerbotten regiment between 1615-1617.  There was also a Colonel Patrick Rutherford [SSNE 6633] in service at this time and it is difficult separating the two men with Fischer confusing them. Correspondence regarding him survives from 16 September 1615.
