Andrew Meldrum is listed as having served in the Danish navy, but in 1676 was taken into the army as a captain in the Fyn national infantry regiment. He was captured at Lund in 1676, wounded in Malmo as a prisoner in 1677. He was a reformed captain in September 1677 and lodged with Col. Thomas Meldrum. In 1678 he was in Prince Frederik's regiment's Bahus campaign. He remained in that regiment until 1684J.C.W. Hirsch and K.
