George Moffat, a son of Robert Moffat [SSNE 3093] and Elizabeth Rutenskiöld. He served first as a sergeant in Narke och Varmland's regiment until he became an ensign in 1684 and it is likely he served beside two brothers; Lars Moffat (3092) and Sten Moffat (3094). Supposedly Göran Moffat died on 22 January 1711 (according to Lewenhaupt). His death is not recorded in Ny parish death records. However, tax records list Göran at Tostebol in 1710 but by 1711 it is his wife who appears in the tax entry.

Comments state that he was promoted from fänrik of Näs company on 28 June 1701.
