BRUCE, HENRY [SSNE 241]
Text source
Henry Bruce arrived with Alexander Ramsay [SSNE 230] in the Scottish force that was attacked and massacred at Kringen in Norway in 1612. Neither James VI nor Christian IV had any charge against him. One source noted Bruce as a lieutenant. Apparently he was returned home after a summary interrogation by Robert Anstruther [SSNE 1472]
