George Stuart arrived in Danish-Norwegian service as part of Colonel Donald Mackay's [SSNE 93] regiment in July 1628 with 214 men from Scotland. He was sent to Stralsund where he lost 100 men. He was asked to levy new men November 1628 and also served in James Sinclair's [SSNE 538] regiment that yearJ.
