Text source

Thomas Freeman was a Scottish officer in Swedish service. He was first a lieutenant in George Cunningham's [SSNE 2118] infantry regiment until 1632, when it became Robert Cunningham's [SSNE 2132] until 1637. As such he probably participated at the Battle of Wittstock in 1636. He is possibly the same as the Thomas Freeman who was responsible for levying troops in Aug 1626 and appears in Germany in Danish service later that month in 1626
