Henry Barclay was an officer in Swedish service who was a lieutenant in 1631. He was probably the same as lieutenant Henry Barclay who was in Denmark in 1627 when his claim to the king (Christian IV) was to be tried. Cf. [SSNE 1933].Swedish Krigsarkiv, Muster Roll, 1631/20 T. Riis, Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot (Odense, 1988), II, p.111{Kanc.Brev.16/11/1627}.
