Salomon Adam(s) was an officer in Swedish service. He started as a lieutenant in Filip von Mansfeld's regiment in 1621 and soon progressed to captain in Kristoffer Assarsson Mannerskölds regiment from Västergötland. He then served as captain in Johan Baner's regiment from Östergötland, and in the Jönköping regiment. He was promoted lieutenant-colonel in this regiment and finally became its colonel, but not before a stint with Marquis of Hamilton's British Army [SSNE 1348]. With this formation he participated at the siege of Magdenburg at Christmas 1631. He was one of the parley party chosen to negotiate terms with the town. Thereafter, he returned to his own regiment and he and his regiment of Scots were at the siege of Hameln (Lower Saxon Circle) in 1633. In 1635 Salomon took part in the court-martial against the former Swedish envoy, councillor of war and councillor of court, Dr. Johannes Stalmann, who had been accused of having planned an attempt on field-marshall Banér's and chancellor Axel Oxenstierna's lives in April 1634. On 4 October 1636, Salomon took part in the battle of Wittstock.
