WALLACE, ROBERT [SSNE 1740]
Text source
Robert Wallace was noted as a lieutenant in Patrick Ruthven's [SSNE 3413] regiment in 1611. In 1612 he was captain of his own company as listed in the military payroll for that year. It was probably this captain Wallace who was in Samuel Cockburn's [SSNE 4219] regiment in 1615 and had a company of 130 men. Confer [SSNE 3736]
On 15 February 1633 a note was made during a meeting of the Swedish estate of the nobility that listed Robert Wallass till Ã…minne as amongst the noblemen in Finland who had stayed home and not attended the 'Riksdag' of the nobility and thus were liable for a fine. As yet we have not definitively identified this Robert Wallace.
