Richard Leijell served in Henry Leyell's [SSNE 182] Scottish cavalry in the Swedish army between 1582 and 1591. It is highly likely that they were related but no definitive family connection has been found. One source notes Richard as cavalry lieutenant, and another notes him as a mustermaster
