Robert Jackson was the British envoy to Sweden at the end of the 17th century and he maintained an active correspondence with people in that kingdom until 1722. Volumes of his letters survive in the Swedish National Archive. This is possibly the same Robert Jackson, merchant, who appears in the records of the German congregation of Stockholm. In 1695, on 9 April, he married Elisabeth Robertsdotter Dickerson. They had three sons, robert baptised 22 April 1695; and unnamed son on 8 June 1697; and Jurgen (George?) baptised on 20 December 1698.
