Henry O'Neil was listed as a fortification worker in 1704-7 in Denmark-Norway. In 1707 he was an ensign in Carl of Hersen's infantry regiment. In 1708 he was sublieutenant. In 1710 he was lieutenant. Dismissed that year for withholding some soldier's pay in the absence of the captain.
