James Taylor was a Scottish burgess of Helsingor. He paid taxes ( 3rd fjerding) in 1628, 1637, and 1645 for himself and his wife, Bodil Jacobsdatter. He was a taxerborger (tax assessor) in 1628, and a tax collector in 1637. He had in 1664 two seats in St Olai, his wife one - Margrete Thomesdatter, who 24/1/1637 inherited from her late brother James ThomsonT.
