Herman Rose served in the urban militia in 1583 with a gun. He was sent to England to buy goods for Christian IV with a bill of exchange for the king's factor in London on 25/11/1598. English musicians deposited their instruments at his house by 24/9/1602 and we also know that he accepted 100 daler at interest deposited by fru Gorvel Faddersdatter, who transferred his bond to the crown on 5/9/1603. Rose married Maren [SSNE 6236], daughter of George Mar. Rose died about 1617, his widow was still living on 28/2/1625.
