BUCS Golf Champions

Saints Golf repeat BUCS success

The University’s Performance Golf Team recently won the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) National Final for the second year in succession. Ian Muir - University of St Andrews Director of Golf - said: "The team's dedication, hard work and teamwork have truly paid off, and they have set an inspiring example for future generations of golf scholars."

Sands: International Film Festival of St Andrews 2023

This year's festival featured not just one but two Hollywood legends. Stanley Tucci was given a huge St Andrews welcome at the sell-out screening of his directorial debut, Big Night. This was followed by a Q&A featuring both Stanley and the festival's key supporter Joe Russo.

Somewhere to Stay exhibition

Exhibition Somewhere to Stay

How can we understand what it’s like to be displaced from our homes by conflict? The Somewhere to Stay outdoor art installation coming to the Wardlaw Museum between 25 and 30 May 2023 helps us to do this by tracing the journey of the artist’s mother as a child from eastern Poland to a Soviet Labour camp during WW2.

Energy Ethics 2023: Financing the Future (6-8 June 2023)

This hybrid, interdisciplinary conference is organised around the themes of time, risk, investment, politics, and infrastructure. EE2023 will bring together hundreds of scholars from around the world for three days of inspiring panels, thought-provoking discussions and fun extra-curricular activities.   


Registration is now open. Lunch and coffee breaks are included with in-person delegate packages, and in-person delegates will have the option of signing up for low-cost on-campus accommodation at the time of registration (each room has an en-suite and includes breakfast). We are also arranging child-care options during the conference to enable participation for those with childcare responsibilities.

Alumni Weekend

Start the weekend on Friday with a Browse with Fizz at Toppings & Company Booksellers and a Welcome Drinks Reception in Sandy's Bar, followed by live music in the Main Bar. Join us on Saturday for a light lunch and tour of the Laidlaw Music Centre. There's also a wine tasting later that day with wines from around the world (and cheeses to match) in the Beacon Bar, followed by a barbecue. Finish off the weekend on the Sunday with the traditional Chapel Service and pier walk, followed by an interdisciplinary panel discussion about the 'What makes us human' exhibition at the Wardlaw Museum. Book your residential accommodation now with a special alumni discount, subject to availability.

Since 2014 the University has invited parents, donors, alumni and friends to participate in the Patrons' Programme to take a 'behind-the-scenes' look at life in St Andrews. The Programme offers a chance to soak up the full St Andrews experience; meet and attend talks by some of our leading academics; receive exclusive updates on our many ongoing projects; and gain private access to local historic sites and residences.
