Transition metal oxide heterostructures

Transition metal oxide heterostructures are very fascinating material combinations. The electrical properties in such heterostructures can be tuned from insulating to conducting to superconducting. Metal oxide materials can moreover show complex combinations of charge-, spin- and orbital-order. We are interested in the rich physics offered by these materials and our research is centered around the fabrication of highest quality transition metal oxide heterostructures and the investigation of their interaction with light.
