Group of Dr. Christos Pliotas
Our focus is on the structure and function of membrane proteins and, in particular, on the gating mechanism of ion channels. We apply electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy to characterise structural rearrangements, which occur during gating, and to interrogate protein state(s) in solution and within lipid/native environment.
