To make the most of your day we advise registering as early as possible. Upon registration, you will receive a visiting day information pack, which a student ambassador will talk you through. This will include your personal itinerary for the day which contains details of sessions specific to you.
Lower College Hall stands
Time: between 9am and 12.30pm
Location: Lower College Hall, St Salvator's Quad
Representatives from across the University will be available throughout the morning to provide information and answer any questions you may have about the University, student life and admissions. Stands available include:
Admissions staff will be available in Lower College Hall from 9am to 4.30pm should you have any further questions.
Welcome talk
Time: 10am, 10.30am, 11.30am and 12 noon
Duration: 30 minutes
These sessions are held by a member of staff from Admissions and are an introduction to various aspects about St Andrews. The talks cover studying at the University and our academic structure, the town, accommodation, student life and scholarships.
Study abroad talk
Time: 12 noon
Duration: 30 minutes
Learn about study abroad opportunities available through St Andrews and hear from a student about their experience.
BA International (Honours) programme talk
Time: 10am
Duration: 30 minutes
For those interested in studying the BA International Honours programme, our joint degree with the College of William & Mary in the USA. This programme is open to all students, but the fees are not covered by SAAS or Student Finance England and Wales. In this talk, you will find out more about the unique programme and how to apply.
Student talk
Time: 12.30pm
Duration: 30 minutes
A panel of University students will discuss their experience of studying at St Andrews. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about student life.
Offer holder question and answer session
Time: 1pm
Duration: 30 minutes
This session is only for students who have applied and have received a conditional or unconditional offer from us.
The session will briefly discuss what the next steps are on your journey to becoming a St Andrews student. This will include information on accepting your offer, your entrant email, applying for student finance, choosing the right accommodation, module choices, matriculation and advising.
University walking tour
Time: departing every 15 minutes from 9.15am to 1pm
Duration: 60 to 90 minutes
Location: Lower College Hall, St Salvator's Quad
These tours take you around the central streets and main University buildings of St Andrews before concluding at one of our halls of residence. The tour will incorporate information on the University’s history as well as student life and University traditions.
Library tour
Time: departing every 15 minutes from 10.30am to 11.45am
Duration: 15 minutes
Library staff will give you a guided tour of the main library facilities. Spaces are limited to 20 prospective students per tour.
Saints Sports tour
Time: between 10am and 12.30pm
Duration: 15 minutes
Location: Sports Centre, St Leonards Road (20-minute walk from Lower College Hall, St Salvator’s Quad)
Sports is a vibrant and integral part of life here at St Andrews. Saints Sport staff will talk you through the vast array of sporting opportunities available to students and give you a tour of the sports centre facilities.
If you have any spare time in the afternoon, there will also be the opportunity to see some of our Saints teams in competitive action.
Directors and head coaches in a variety of performance sports may also be available at the Sports Centre during your visit (between 10am and 1pm). To set up a meeting and speak with our colleagues about a particular sport, please email Gary Brankin on gb50@st-andrews.ac.uk.
Subject talks
Time: 2pm and 3pm
Duration: 50 minutes
The booking form allows you to select two subject talks. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about your chosen course as well as an additional subject. You will hear from academics about the course, and you will be able to ask any questions you may have.
