Gateway to Computer Science

The Gateway to Computer Science is an alternative entry route to Computer Science at the University of St Andrews. It's aimed at talented and enthusiastic students who meet the University's widening participation criteria.

As a student on the Gateway to Computer Science course, you will study some modules alongside first year Computer Science students, and some modules unique to the Gateway course. These modules will focus on introducing relevant topics in computer science and mathematics, and other transferable skills.

After completing your first year, you will progress from the Gateway programme to the second year of the Computer Science BSc or MSci degree paths.

You find more about the Gateway to Computer Science programme, including a full list of modules studied on the course, from the School of Computer Science.
