Part-time study open day

Saturday 9 July 2022

Welcome to our Part Time Study Open Day!

We would be delighted if you would join us for an in-person Open Day on Saturday 9 July 2022. The Open Day will give you an opportunity to find out more about different forms of part-time study available at the University of St Andrews.

Part-time study at St Andrews offers you the opportunity to learn at one of the most extraordinary universities in the world in a way that fits around you and your commitments. We have creative and flexible part-time degree options for those who cannot commit to the time and expense of a full-time course. Our part-time options allow you to balance learning with employment or other responsibilities.

Whether you are interested in studying part-time during the day, in the evening, or through our upskilling modules, our Part Time Open Day will provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision about the right route for you.  You will have the opportunity to meet key members of academic staff, find out more about the subjects you can study, and learn about the support available for part-time students.

On this webpage you can also find out more about student life at the University of St Andrews, including testimonies from current part-time students. We are also delighted to share some information regarding our learning partners across Fife, which highlights a variety of groups and organisations where you can engage in other learning activities.

Should you have any questions about the Open Day, or about part-time study in general, please email our Lifelong Learning team at lifelonglearning@st-andrews.ac.uk. We would be happy to assist you!

Student life

As a part-time evening student, you can join in with all our traditions and activities. You can watch the videos below from two of our student societies to hear about how you can get involved.

We have also included words of encouragement from some of our current students, to give you a sense of what it is like to study on our evening degree programme, MA Combined Studies.
