Summer at St Andrews (SAS) is the official University of St Andrews summer programme specifically designed for students who use English as an additional language. You will study Medicine, Science, Management, or the Social Sciences and Humanities, while learning specialist language and communication skills related to these subjects.
These two-week or four-week courses will give you an opportunity to sample aspects of university life, experience courses taught by university staff, and be better prepared to make a strong application to any UK university.
You’ll advance your knowledge, learn about a different culture and social customs, and expand your horizons – all within the safe and picturesque surroundings of royal and ancient St Andrews. The University of St Andrews was founded in 1413 and has established a reputation as one of the world’s leading research and teaching centres, an environment which nurtures inquisitive minds and a culture of shared learning. Consistently high rankings in both national and global league tables places St Andrews within the top 100 of world universities.
Students on the Summer at St Andrews programme will be welcomed into the life of the University and the town, and will also enjoy a full programme of social, cultural, and sports activities. Accommodation will be provided in a University hall of residence, and you will have access to our state-of-the-art Sports Centre.
