Like all core language modules at honours it consists of three components: an oral strand, a translation strand, and a writing/ text production strand. While the oral strand introduces a range of different communicative situations, the translation strand is designed to develop advanced translation skills in a range of registers of written German, and the writing strand enables students to develop their academic writing in German.
