The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. Module description

Students will translate the sung and spoken texts for Lemonnier and Monsigny's comic opera, Le Cadi dupé (1761), into modern English. Issues to be addressed include comprehension, accuracy, compensation for translation loss, stressed and unstressed syllables, humour, orientalism and ableism. Musical expertise is welcome but not essential.
