Module description

The module aims to enable students to understand the development of genres and motifs in classical Arabic prose, as well as some principles of classical Arabic literary criticism. During the semester students will study a variety of classical Arabic prose texts and will develop an understanding of how the structures of Arabic grammar and the semantics of Arabic vocabulary work in a variety of literary genres.
