The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

This module consolidates the grammar and vocabulary learned during Sub-Honours by introducing students to the language of the Arabic media through texts, audio and audio-visual material. Students will be offered basic training in comprehension and translation of contemporary Media Arabic in both directions, and will also compose their own written material and give oral presentations in Arabic.
