USA
Students from the USA will find that St Andrews offers an exceptionally high standard of research-led teaching in a vibrant and diverse environment. With US students representing our largest international population, St Andrews will feel like a home away from home.
US students will notice some differences between studying at St Andrews and at a US institution. For undergraduates, our four-year flexible degree structure allows students to explore up to three subjects of their choice and then later focus their studies from the start of their third year. Additionally, there is a greater focus on independent study at St Andrews than most US institutions.
Attending St Andrews is not just about academics. Students will be able to take part in and enjoy our broad range of societies, sports clubs and volunteering opportunities alongside their studies. Additionally, the University boasts a stunning coastal location, over 600 years of history and a fascinating array of traditions. All this combined make the St Andrews student experience a truly unique one.
