The University of St Andrews is offering £2,000 fee reduction scholarships for entrants studying an MSc in Digital Education starting in September 2026 and studying online through distance learning. The scholarships will be awarded to experienced practitioners with two years of relevant work experience.

To be eligible to apply, you must hold an offer to study on an MSc Digital Education programme (online, September start) at the University of St Andrews by the time of the scholarship submission deadline date.

Please apply for the award after you have submitted your application for a place at St Andrews. You do not need to wait until you have received an offer of a place before applying for the award. However, you must hold an offer to study on an MSc Digital Education programme (online, September start) at the University of St Andrews by the time of the scholarship submission deadline date.

Decisions about your suitability for the scholarship will be based on the work experience you list in your CV, which you should upload as part of the course application.

The Graduate Discount does not apply to students who have previously studied on an International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute postgraduate preparation programme. You cannot receive both awards.

How to apply

This scholarship is available through the MSc Digital Education Online Scholarship (September entry) application form. You can access this application through the Scholarships and funding catalogue in the Scholarships and funding section of My application.

After you have applied to a new course beginning in the academic year 2026-2027, you will be provided with login details for the My application portal. You must allow at least two working days for processing and issue of your log in details before you can apply for this scholarship.

  • The offer of a scholarship is provisional upon the offer holder accepting and enrolling on the MSc Digital Education Online only. Applications to the PGDip, PGCert will not be considered for funding.
  • Scholarship recipients will be selected by a panel of staff from the International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute. All decisions are final.
  • The International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute reserves the right not to make an award if no suitable applications are received.
  • The award has no cash alternative and is not transferable to other programmes. If the recipient does not enrol on an eligible programme, the award will be withdrawn.
