Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) offers master’s scholarships in digital health and care.
These scholarships are offered in partnership with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Data Science Centre and supported by Kidney Research UK, Asthma and Lung UK, The Stroke Association, and Diabetes UK.
Grants, valued at £10,000, are available for postgraduate students starting their course in the 2025-2026 academic year.

How to apply
If you meet the following criteria, you can apply:
- You have a confirmed place for a health data science (or equivalent) Masters degree at a UK university.
- You demonstrate an interest in the relevant disease areas.
- You have basic coding skills in R or Python.
Having a first degree at 2:1 or above in a quantitative subject, such as maths, physics or engineering, is desirable. Having some previous experience in a life sciences project is not required, but will be an advantage.
