About postgraduate accommodation
Prospective postgraduate students are able to apply for University accommodation once they have accepted their offer to study and paid the required pre-payment fee.
The online accommodation application form is open from 1 March onwards. University accommodation is a popular choice, and it is not guaranteed, so you are encouraged to apply as early as possible to secure a place.

Self-catered standard
In self-catered standard accommodation, you will share a kitchen and bathroom facilities with a small number of other residents in self-contained flats.
Self-catered en suite
Self-catered en suite accommodation provides students with equipped kitchens to cook in as well as their own private shower room.
Catered
Deans Court and David Russell Apartments are the only catered residences for Postgraduate students.
Self-catered studio apartments
Self-catered en suite studio apartments provide the ideal accommodation for couples and individuals who require their own private kitchen facilities. The apartments are self-contained and comprise one room, furnished as a studio bedroom with a double bed, a well-appointed kitchen recess, and an en suite shower and WC. Fees and contracts
The standard contract length for a postgraduate hall is 50 weeks (September to August). Students living in self-catered halls are allowed to stay in their accommodation over the Christmas and spring vacations. Students in catered halls are able to stay in their accommodation over the Christmas vacation and the spring vacation on a self-catered basis.

Catered fees 2023-2024
Catering is included in the total residences fees for the following contracts and is not optional
David Russell Apartments offer en suite catered accommodation (14 meals per week) for a 37-week contract, with self catering during the summer. Please note: the contract is on a self-catered basis only during inter semester break and summer 2024
- En suite single room: £12,700 (Accommodation £10,587, Catering £2,113)
Deans Court offers standard and en suite catered accommodation (15 meals per week) for a 50-week contract. Meals are breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Friday with self-catering during inter semester break. Rent is based on each type of room and the facilities within and around the room.

- Band E: £11,973 (Accommodation £8,428, Catering £3,545)
- Band F: £12,914 (Accommodation £9,369, Catering £3,545)
- Band G: £16,771 (Accommodation £13,226, Catering £3,545)

Applications for postgraduate accommodation open 1 March in your year of entry. You should apply early to try and secure a place.
