Fiona Morton
Counsellor
Fiona is a part-time counsellor with Student Services and joined the team in early 2014. Fiona graduated from Glasgow University with a degree in English and Philosophy and after some years working in the media went on to complete a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling from Strathclyde University. She is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP].
Fiona’s counselling background includes working within Primary Health care, within a hospice setting with carers and sometimes patients, and as a student counsellor at the Glasgow School of Art. She is keen to help students identify and work through any issue that affects their ability to be happy and realise their potential, and is committed to developing a therapeutic relationship that is enabling and potentially transformative.
