Dr Mark Ford
Assistant Director (Acute Advising)
Mark Ford joined Student Services as an Assistant Director from a background of medical education and General Practice.
He graduated from Dundee Medical School in 2002 and worked in general practice and palliative care before becoming a clinical teacher and Pro-Dean (undergraduate) in St Andrews School of Medicine.
Above all, Mark is passionate about enabling students to reach their full potential in higher education and supporting them as they do so.
Mark is manager for the Support Advising team, often the first point of contact for students within Student Services. He helps to manage situations where there is acute concern about student welfare, raised by students themselves, wardens, healthcare professionals, fellow students, student services staff or parents.
Additionally, Mark works closely with local healthcare providers to further develop student healthcare provision.
