Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid

All students applying for or receiving US Federal Aid (subsidized, unsubsidized and PLUS) at the University of St Andrews must progress satisfactorily towards completion of a chosen academic program.

In order to receive US Federal Funds students must adhere to the University’s Degree Regulations regarding academic progress.

The Degree Regulations are available though the following web links:

Undergraduate - Undergraduate Senate Regulations

Postgraduate - Postgraduate Senate Regulations

Students must note that there is a maximum timeframe to receive aid.   This timeframe only entitles students to receive aid for 150% of the allocated programme of study time frame.

Please note that while Federal eligibility may allow you to continue the individual academic progress regulations and student visa restrictions may impact on the students’ ability to continue within the program.
