Professional and Entrepreneurial Student Skills Interns

This acdemic year the PSC is looking out for students who would like experience in working within various areas such as film-making, media, development, marketing and exposure to a real-life work project.

 

PSC interns

These term time internships will help oversee the day-to-day running of the PSC and support entrepreneurial student skills development.

The role will be for 1 -3 hours per week, including a weekly meeting (on occasion there may be additional hours, such as working at the Careers fair).

The role will be paid at ambassador rate.

The deadline for application is midnight on 14th September. Successful applications will be notified on the 15th September.

The first team meeting will take place on Wednesday 16th September at 5:15 pm

There are four positions:


1. Events and Workshops
Responsibilities:
- Providing input (both general and specific suggestions) for how the PSC should be organised
- Help evaluate skills workshops
- Identifying speakers/workshop leaders for both workshops and events
Role criteria:
- Experience in organising both online and in-person events
- Creativity and original thinking in order to contribute ideas

2. Content & Multimedia
Responsibilities:
- Producing blog content, videos, photos, podcasts on Professional and Entrepreneurial Skills
Role criteria:
- Broad creative experience and skills: copywriting, video, audio, design, photography
- Ability to set and meet consistent deadlines and produce content reliably throughout the course of the year

3. Personnel and Liaison
Responsibilities:
- Organising and facilitating team meetings
- Organising collaborations and joint work with e.g. student societies, CEED/Careers, etc.
- Managing operating team OneDrive space etc.
- Organise the PSC stall at the careers fair
Role criteria:
- Highly organised and efficient
- Quick and effective at drafting/responding to emails
- Reliable

4. Marketing and Social
Responsibilities:
- Managing PSC social media channels, producing newsletters
- Working closely with other team members to share content and workshops as appropriate
Role criteria:
- Skilled at drafting copy for both social channels and emails
- Social media experience (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
- Some design experience would be beneficial
