Deciding where to spend your third and fourth years

In the second year of the BA (International Honours) programme, you will be asked to decide where you would like to spend your third and fourth years, either following the ABBA or ABAB route.

Fourth year dissertation and independent study

At St Andrews, fourth years are required to write a dissertation. Please refer to the academic information webpage for further information about the expectations of a fourth year dissertation.

At William & Mary, fourth year students are required to undertake an Honours thesis (if students qualify), an independent study or senior research seminar depending on your field of study.
