Counselling Psychologist

Robina works part-time as a Counselling Psychologist with Student Services, having joined us in 2017. She received her Psychology Diploma, Doctorate, and basic counselling training in Germany before immigrating to the UK in 2013. She is therefore able to offer counselling appointments in both English and German.

Robina mainly works within the framework of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), integrating elements of compassion-focused therapy and mindfulness. With training in systemic therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) amongst others, Robina utilises and integrates tools and techniques from across different therapeutic models to tailor her approach to each student according to their strengths, preferences, and desired outcomes. Building and maintaining a strong collaborative working relationship is at the core of all her therapeutic work.

More recently, Robina has trained in and achieved certification as an Intuitive Eating Counsellor and is able to support students who struggle with food, eating, and their body.

Robina is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
