The University commissioned a series of over 60 student portraits to celebrate the uniqueness, character and diversity to be found across our student community. These are exhibited across four locations across the University estate: the Arts Building; the Byre Theatre; the Main Library; and St Salvator’s Quadrangle, as part of an exhibition which runs until the end of June 2019. The photos were taken by broad daylight, an award-winning creative duo who threw light on each subject’s personality. Each student has also provided a short quote about what the University means to them, to accompany their portrait.
Principal Sally Mapstone said: “I hope these photographs will provide a starting point for wider conversations about the community we share, what St Andrews means to each of us, and the values we bring to it.”
