Celtic Society Country Dancing

The Celtic Society is a student run society, but it welcomes staff and a good number attend their regular classes and activities.

Founded in 1796, Celtic Society is THE oldest student society in St Andrews.

Founded with the desire to maintain the Gaelic language, the society has expanded to involve many areas of Scottish life.
Their speciality is Scottish Country Dancing. They organise several weekly dance classes and visit other society dances all over the country. From Aberdeen to Newcastle and beyond, you'll find us reeling away with the best of them! And everyone is welcome - from complete beginners to experienced Scottish Country dancers!

Each year we hold numerous ceilidhs, including one outdoors in the St Andrews Castle in May. The best way to keep up to date with the programme is via the Society's facebook page:

Wellbeing & Engagement Group

Every month the group organises activities, events and promotions around different health and wellbeing themes.
