Teaching Development Fund

The Teaching Development Fund is currently under review and funding for semester 1 of the academic year 2018/19 is not available. Funding will be available in semester 2. The date for applications will be confirmed shortly.

The Teaching Development Fund is designed to fund collaborative projects that will have an impact on the organisational culture of learning and teaching within a group of Schools, Faculties or across the University.

Staff in Schools and Units are eligible to apply for funding.  Students may also apply, but applications must be led by a member of staff.

A maximum of £5,000 can be awarded for any one project.

In the past, projects have focussed on the work which have generally had a positive impact on learning and teaching and these are still warmly welcomed.

Projects relating to topics which are currently of particular interest across the HE sector are also encouraged:

  • Postgraduate taught teaching and experience in Schools
  • Moodle
  • Links with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

Applications that focus on the innovative use of learning/teaching space, and projects that will support technology enhanced learning are also welcomed.

Applications for projects that will have a positive impact on other areas of Learning and Teaching will also be considered.
