The University of St Andrews Cheerleading Club is one of the fastest growing clubs in the Athletic Union, and has had continuing success over the last few years. Competitive cheerleading is a fun and energetic mix of stunting, dance, jumps and gymnastics.
Training sessions are run internally by the Club, led by qualified captains Nina Euele and Charlotte Hoyle, both of whom have previously completed cheerleading coaching courses.

Teams and Competitions
In the 2016/17 season the Cheerleading Club took one team and four group stunts to each competition. These competitions were: Legacy Stand Strong, Future Cheer University Nationals and BCA University Nationals and Allstar Nationals. Over the past two years the team has competed at Open Co-Ed Level 3 and All Girl Level 2, and various group stunts have competed at All Girl Levels 2 and 3, and one Co-ed Level 4. This is the highest level that any university in Scotland currently competes at.
As well as competitive memberships, the Club also offers to those that have no interest in competing the Development Squad Membership, with no limits on numbers. These members are welcomed to the Sunday practice, where everyone comes together and the development squad have the chance to improve their skills week by week, either just for fun or with a view to competing in the future.
Outreach & Charity
The Club have previously led weekly classes through Fife Active Schools, introducing local children to cheerleading. In 2016, in celebration of our tenth birthday, the club committed to supporting at least one charitable cause per month, including pyjama parties, pink themed practices, and donations to neighbourhood food collections. This earned us the title of 'Volunteer Club of the Year 2015/16'.
