Saints Sport Coronavirus Update
Information for Sports Centre users
The University has been closely monitoring developments surrounding the spread of COVID-19 to ensure that we are responding quickly and effectively, and in line with the latest Government and UK and Scottish health authorities’ guidelines and recommendations.
By its nature, this is a quickly evolving situation and the measures announced by the UK Government have already had an immediate and profound effect.
Sports Centre Closure
The SPORTS CENTRE was CLOSED on Monday 16th March and will remain closed until further notice.
We understand the importance of people being active and the particular role sport and exercise can have on our physical and mental wellbeing and we are working behind the scenes on plans for a phased reopening that follows the Scottish Government's route map through and out of the crisis.
Facility update for phase 1
In line with Government advice for easing lockdown in phase 1 on sport, culture and leisure activities the University's outdoor tennis courts reopened at 12 noon Monday 1 June.
The wellbeing, health and safety of all our staff, student and community members is a priority for Saints Sport and the University hasn’t taken this decision lightly.
We understand you may have questions relating to your membership, our facilities and our services. We will try to address these as we populate a FAQs section below. We will continue to update this page as frequently as we can.
We ask for your support and patience as we look to get through these challenging and uncertain times together.
Full information and advice about coronavirus, what you can do to protect yourself and others, and the steps the University has taken in St Andrews to minimise the risk to our students, staff and the local community, can be found on the University website.
You can also contact the Coronavirus Helpdesk in the Advice and Support Centre, North Street, email@example.com, tel: 01334 464146.
