Sports Centre Closure
The SPORTS CENTRE was CLOSED on Monday 16th March and will remain closed until further notice.
We understand the importance of people being active and the particular role sport and exercise can have on our physical and mental wellbeing and we are working behind the scenes on plans for a phased reopening that follows the Scottish Government's route map through and out of the crisis.
Facility update for phase 2
In line with Government advice for easing lockdown in phase 2 on sport, culture and leisure activities the University's outdoor sports facilities will reopen from 8am Friday 10 July.
You can find out the latest information about which facilities and services have reopened in the dedicated coronavirus section of our website.
We understand you may have questions relating to your membership, our facilities and our services. We will try to address these through a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page.
Community and staff sport
Our community and staff sport programme provides opportunities for everyone in the St Andrews community to get involved and be active. The informal drop-in sessions are designed so that anyone of any age or ability can turn up on the day to take part, with a number of different types of sporting opportunities available throughout the week. Please note that a gym membership is not necessary to take part in our staff and community activities.
The Junior Saints programme offers a wide variety of sports activities for children aged 2-12 years old throughout the year.
