St Andrews

This network brings together some of the world's leading researchers in Scottish studies. As the University of St Andrews approaches its six hundreth birthday it continues to contribute to Scottish culture and society in areas that range from public health and biodiversity to philosophy, Scottish literature and creative writing. In recent years staff have produced the first full history of Scottish photography, the largest ever history of Scotland, and a major biography of Robert Burns. Large-scale research projects range from the documentation of the Scottish Parliament to the Penguin history of Scottish literature. The St Andrews Scottish Studies Network brings together the individuals, seminar series, and projects in Schools and Faculties across the university to provide information and points of contact for researchers in Scottish studies at Scotland's first and most beautiful situated academic institution.
