Institutional OA memberships with publishers

The University of St Andrews has arranged various membership agreements for the University which support open access publishing. These have been chosen based on national negotiations, recommendations and consultation with academic staff, and because they represent good value and efficient use of funds.

To find out who the publisher of your chosen journal is, enter the journal title at http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/  (Sherpa/Romeo is a database of publishers’ open access policies).

The memberships operate in various ways depending on publisher models, but in most cases give authors a discount on standard Article Processing Charges (APCs).

Where a discounted APC is still payable, you may be able to claim from central funds. For details email openaccess@st-andrews.ac.uk or see details on central funding available.
