Professor Philip Winn is an Honorary Professor in Psychology. He worked in St Andrews from 1984–2009, being Professor of Psychology, Dean of Science and Vice-Principal Learning and Teaching. In 2010 he moved to the University of Strathclyde where until September 2015 he was Head of the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences. He is Professor of Neuroscience at Strathclyde and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA); chair of the QAA Scotland Committee; and chair of Medical Research Scotland. 

Phil is an elected Fellow of the US Association for Psychological Science and of the Society of Biology and is a Scientist Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
